2018 Travels

I am new to blogging but wanted somewhere to log my travels so I thought what better way than to create a personal travel blog! Travel is a passion of mine (alongside teaching) and it is something which my husband and I certainly want to do more of!

2018 is an exciting year for us in terms of travel as we already have a few trips planned out…

In May we are planning a 5 night trip to Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. We will be flying into Vienna and then travelling by train onto Bratislava and finally Budapest. We will end our trip here and then fly back to the UK. I am really looking forward to seeing what these cities have to offer as they all look beautiful!

The summer holidays will bring 2 separate trips to Spain. The first trip will begin as a family holiday to Marbella where we own a lovely apartment. After 6 nights here our family will be flying home and my husband and I will travel onto Seville by train. After spending 2 nights in Seville we will stop off at the historic city of Toledo for 1 night before arriving at our final destination of Madrid. I have travelled to many cities in Spain but these three I haven’t experienced yet so I am very excited.

My second Spanish trip is to Barcelona. This will be my third visit to Barcelona and I can’t wait. Barcelona is one of those cities that you could return to year on year and you would never get bored.

Our final trip of the year which we have booked is definitely the one I am looking forward to the most… South Africa! We will be travelling during December, spending both Christmas and New Year here. We will be flying from London to Cape Town spending 6 nights in the city. We will then get a 3 hour internal flight over to Hoedspruit ready for the safari part of our holiday. We will spend 4 nights in this area before driving to Johannesburg to catch our flight back to the UK. We have all of our accommodation booked here already, the safari lodges look incredible!

If any of you have any advice on the wonderful places we are visiting then please drop a comment 🙂
